Global Health Delivery Internship Program

Harvard Medical School Center for Global Health Delivery is pleased to announce an internship opportunity for students from medical universities globally. The internship aims to provide students with a strong foundation in the basics of clinical and health care delivery research. The Center will award the internship based on education level and experience.

Medical students will have the opportunity to complete educational activities led by Center faculty in a variety of subjects related to global health care delivery and research. Activates will include daily lectures by Center faculty and guest speakers, field visits to various research institutions in the UAE, as well as completion of the online version of the Harvard University course, “Global Health Case Studies from a Biosocial Perspective.”

All students who complete the four-week internship will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Internship Dates: June 23–July 18, 2019 (9:00am-3:30pm, Sunday–Thursday)

Eligibility / Requirements:

  • Medical or Pre-Medical students currently enrolled at an accredited University.
  • Good academic standing, including GPA of 2.5 or higher (see attached signature sheet).
  • English fluency.

Funding:

There are no fees for this internship; however, interns are responsible for their own travel, visa, housing and living expenses.

Application process:

All application components must be submitted by email to ghd.dubai@hms.harvard.edu and nasreen_adamjee@hms.harvard.edu by March 31, 2019 at 4:00pm GST (MBRU Students Deadline: February 8, 2019). Selected applicants will be invited to interview with the Center staff.

Applications must include the following components:

  • This application form.
  • Completed personal statement (see attached sheet below).

Signature of faculty member attesting to student’s good academic standing (see separate sheet).
