On November 23rd, a panel of specialists came together to discuss how healthcare workers have been managing non-communicable diseases during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since people around the world have been encouraged to remain at home to stop the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, it has made providing care to those with non-communicable diseases like diabetes and heart disease very difficult and it has reduced the detection of new cases.
