Dr. Farhat is a practicing pulmonary and critical care physician and biostatistician with training in evolutionary biology and genomics. Her research focuses on the development of innovative tools and methods to study the evolution of drug resistance in Tuberculosis. Her work has the ultimate goal of modernizing the way we diagnose and treat patients with drug resistant infections through genome based information catered to resource limited settings.
